    Create auto-number for new contacts

    Hi all,

    Is it possible to create a customer number (an auto-number or primary key) for each customer as a reocrd is created? Is it possible to specify the format of this number?

    When Maximizer is set to "System to assign Address Book entries' IDentification field values" (the default), Maximizer already creates a primary key for you. It is the combination of [Client_Id] and [Contact_Number], where

    - Companies and Individuals are assigned a unique [Client_Id] and their [Contact_Number] is 0

    - Contacts are assigned the [Client_Id] of their parent record (Company or Individual) and a [Contact_Number] of 1, 2, 3, ....

    System-assigned [Client_Id] values look like this:

    090420252157153440001C

    You cannot alter the format.
