In playing around with the synchronization, it seems that if I delete an appointment from Outlook and then sync, the appointment doesn't get deleted from Maximizer. It doesn't matter if the appointment was originally created on Maximizer or Outlook. It gets synced over to the other one properly (i.e., created on Maximizer, it gets synced over to Outolook. Created on Outlook, it gets synced over to Maximizer).

If I delete an appointment from Maximizer, it gets deleted from Outlook. But if I delete on Outlook, it doesn't get deleted from Maximizer.

It doesn't seem to matter which one I choose in Maximizer preferences for Conflict Resolution (which really should only matter if it changes on both).

I am using Maximizer 10 Entrepreneur and Outlook 2003

iPhone not synchronizing to Maximizer via Outlook

Okay, here's the deal... I've got an iPhone and since there's no official app yet (hint hint), I'm getting my Maximizer data to and from via Outlook.

The sync between Maximizer Outlook works just fine and the sync between Outlook and iTunes / iPhone works as expected.

The catch comes in when I create a calendar event on the iPhone - it synchronizes to Outlook as it should but then that event won't add to Maximizer. I've discovered that if I modify the start / end times it will sync, but that shouldn't need to be a work-around for what should work.

Using:

Vista (SP1)

Outlook 2003 (SP3)

Maximizer 9 (1707 SP2 for SR1)

iTunes 8.0.1

iPhone 3G (2.1 firmware)

Anyone else using the iPhone? Anyone else experiencing the same issues?

Maximizer to outlook sync - Hotlist with phone number

Hello,

We want to sync our maximizer with outlook with hotlist, but we cant get the field "Phone 1" added to the hotlist, when we sync it with outlook, isnt there a way/method to add special fields?

We dont want to add the phone number by the favorite list, its too many clicks and such..

So the main problem is, we want the Hotlist to sync with outlook with the Phone 1 added aswell, so its easy to see the task in outlook with the number - because we are syncing our outlook with our phones, so it would be very cool if we could get the number from maximizer, to outlook to our iphone

We have Maximizer 10 Entreprenuer (2 licenses) and when we run it we get an error message stating that the Outlook Profile is incorrect and we must select another from a small pop-up window. We've created another profile in Outlook, but the error persist.

When you select another (or the same) profile from the small pop-up window you can check the box next to "Keep as Default" or something like that, but it doesn't save it so everytime you have to go thru the same process.

Once the profile is selected you click OK, and that's another sequence of clicking YES like 5 times so Maximizer can finally open up. In order to get around so much clicking we've installed a small software called "Express YesClick"

But the question remains:

What can we do to fix it correctly? Why?

Well, as a result of Outlook -thru Maximizer- not working correctly when you try to follow the steps to synchronize them, that is first: Create a Category in Outlook named Maximizer and asign all your conatcts to it, then open Maximizer and create a Favorite List called Oulook Contacts and in File/Preferences you're supposed to make changes in "Outlook Synchronization" to "Synchronize Address Book entries" and below it. However since Outlook Profile is giving us headache the entire bottom area in "Outlook Synchronization" is shaded and we can't select nor use it at all.

Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you.

synchronizing with Outlook

I find diffuculty in having my contact info from outlook to maximizer 9

I have successfully synchronize my outlook as this web tells :

http://cssadmin.maximizer.com/Download/RightNow/060410-000041/OutlookToMaximizeSynch.pdf

However, I found several problem as :

1. If the contact deleted in Outlook, It is not deleted in Maximizer. Does anyone have a solution?

2. The synchronization creates 'Individual' instead of 'contact' or 'company'. I believe that this occur because of 2-Tiered methodology that Maximizer used instead of single-tiered in Outlook. However, when I convert the 'Individual' to 'Contact' or 'Company', the synchronization is no longer success. Does anyone have a solution?

3. If I create a 'Individual' in Maximizer, it is not synchronized to Outlook. However, if I create a contact in Outlook and assigned it to a specific category ([MAX] - name for category to sync with Maximizer), it is Synchronized to Maximizer. Does anyone have a solution?

Many Thanks for you guys help.

and have it sync'ing with Outlook 2007. It syncs with Outlook fine.

I purchased an iPhone back in March '09 and the MobileMe program and
service from Apple. Other than duplicate contacts, Mobile Me was
sync'ing my iPhone contacts and calendar correctly from Outlook, which
was syncing with Maximizer.

After I did the iPhone firmware update and iTunes update a couple of
weeks ago, my calendar is not syncing correctly. It adds 7 hours to
appointments in the calendar.

If I add the appointment directly to Outlook, it syncs correctly. When
I make an appointment in Maximizer and sync it to Outlook, it shows up
in Outlook correctly but adds 7 hours to the appointment time on my
iPhone.

I have been using Maximizer for 10 years and this is the main
application I need for calendar and contacts. I would like to continue
to use it.

I have checked my time zone settings in Windows XP, Outlook, Maximizer,
iPhone, iPhone calendar and MobileMe account online - and they are all
correct.

The Maximizer to Outlook to MobileMe to iPhone was syncing correctly for months before the iTunes and iPhone updates.

Any ideas?

I know its an old one, and I have had a search through the internets, and the Maximizer main sites knowledgebase but to no avail, so please forgive my stupidity if its a blatant fix.

Thanks..

I have some 250 contacts in Outlook that I want to synch into Maximizer 10.5 which we recently bought.

I have been able to synch them, but when they come in they are all as individuals and do not automatically group by company name. How do I do this? I tried changing the primary name from Individual to Company.. works. Then I was totally puzzled how to change individuals who work for the company to appear as contacts within the company.

Also it seems that if you delete them in Maximizer and subsequently still exist in Outlook Maximizer is no longer able to re-synch them. I had to change the category name to allow re-synch to happen. Is there another method of doing that?

Please assist.

I am trying to set up Max 8 to use the email function and I have a "home" and "work" email address. Max is using my "home" email address as a default and I can't seem to find out where to change it to my "work" email address. I am using Outlook 2003. I have updated the "email preferences" tab in Max, but this doesn't show what email address for Max to use.

Any help would be appreciated.

Our business has sales people out on the road and are not always able to access Max on their laptops. I am wondering if there is a way to selectively import contacts from Max to Outlook so they can find a number, address etc of a client / prospect. We don't want to use the option of having to access Max using the web option on their iphones every time. Is it possible to do this without having to access the internet?
