    Data not fully synchronizing

Whenever a new address book or opportunity is entered into Maxmizer 10.5 and MaxExchange processes the data packets, an entry is created on the server, but the entry does not propagate to the other users. Any data entered in the user defined fields for both the address book and the opportunity does not even get to the server. The only problems I am seeing when MaxExchanging is the note "Your opportunity distribution information is outdated. For details please run Distribution Diagnostic. To update the distribution information please run Address Book Maintenance."

Running Address Book Maintenance doesn't seem to solve the problem, as it results in the same message, and I can find no trace of what Distribution Diagnostic is. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing these problems? In MaxExchange it looks like it is processing the data packets for the entries that have changed, but there is no corresponding change made on the server in Maximizer or in the database.

    Re: Data not fully synchronizing

Hello Cory, is any luck or difference if going through the procedures from following KB articles, esp. the first one?

    Have luck!

I'm not having any luck with the procedures in either KB article. New opportunities entered at the remotes are showing up on the server with no user-defined data, and these empty opportunities are not being pushed out to the other remotes.

Hello Cory, regarding "these empty opportunities are not being pushed out to the other remotes", is anything under "Additions" column selected on "Remote Site Distribution Restrictions" page of that remote site using MaxExchange Site Manager?

And regarding "New opportunities entered at the remotes are showing up on the server with no user-defined data", do you see same issue if logging as MASTER to read such records (as I just suspect fields security are set to such UDFs).

    Have luck!

There is nothing selected under "Additions" in MaxExchange Site Manager, and when logged in on the server as MASTER there are no user-defined field data. In fact, If I open the database using SQL Server, there is no user-defined field data for those entries as well.

I see Cory.  BTW, single-user opportunities are synchronized with only the remotes that created the opportunities. For example, if Remote A creates a single-user opportunity, it is synchronized with only Remote A. The opportunity will not be synchronized with Remote B. Single-user opportunities created on the server are not synchronized.

For UDF data missing issue, I just note there is a similar known issue so see if this could bring you some hints:

040816-000005 System Refreshes Causes Inconsistent Data

    Have luck!!

    Re: Data not fully synchronizing

Thanks Jewel, but none of the opportunities are set to Single-User mode.

Regarding the User-defined fields, the strange thing is that on the server if I look at the notes for the opportunity there are History notes that list all of the changes I made, but if I go to the user defined fields the changes are not there. I have recently done a system refresh, but we do not have a remote server, so I don't think that is the issue. Do you know exactly what tables are affected when making changes to the user-defined fields for an opportunity so I can see exactly what is missing in the database? Obviously something is being transferred if it is showing up in the notes.

    Re: Data not fully synchronizing

I see Cory.  But I don't recommend. Instead, I would suggest you create one more local addr book and then setup MaxExchange sync working with it too.  If you don't encounter problem with the new one, then you may use the new local addr book instead of existing one for MaxExchange Sync.  If you still encounter same problem with new one too, then this indicates MaxExchange settings in somewhere get corrupted, so a complete re-installation of MaxExchange remote should fix the problem in "machine" level (although it consume you much more time).
