    Sales

    Please sign in and vote to identify which of the following Sales areas you feel should get the most attention in Maximizer CRM version 11.  Please feel free to reply to this post with any comments you might have on your poll selection or if you would like to suggest any other feature not outlined in this poll question.

    Which of the following Sales enhancements is the most important to you?

    • Include Quota management to assign sales goals and track progess (18.3%)
    • Include Address Book entry fields in the Column Setup and All Fields Search from the Opportunity module (41.7%)
    • Provide more filter options for rolling dates, example: My Opportunities for this month, quarter, year (10%)
    • Support creating a Quote/Order pre-filled with Opportunity details like Products/Services (15%)
    • Automatically update Opportunity revenue when Order payment has been received (1.7%)

    Better relationship hooks between accounts and more insightful reporting of sales activities would help. For instance, running note reports are not clear on each of the type of notes being placed in the account, whether email, task, or phone calls - the report need formatting to help.

  • Quota management needs tight Team integration (including combined teams). Many clients want this function, but they need to be able to adapt it to the way they do business. Groups in Maximizer needs strengthening. The ability to create teams on the fly, i.e. for select accounts is the reality not the exception, so it's important to be able to retire those teams without deleting them (This issue is similar to disable users showing up in the calendar -- prior to 10.0).

  • "Include Address Book entry fields in the Column Setup and All Fields Search from the Opportunity module"
  • Export to Excel is currently limited to AB or Opp. With this enhancement combining both into the single Column View, this becomes a "down & dirty" report writer. The Column View becomes the Query and Excel becomes the Report Writer! Add some Visual Basic for Applications (VBA code) and suddenly, numerous sophisticated reports are within reach!  Huge possibilities.

    If MSI goes down the path of integrating AB/Opportunity functionality, please consider the value of being able to better merge documents with AB info & Opportunity info simultaneously including Address Book contacts, Opportunity Roles & Opportunity contacts. Better document merge capabilities could increase functional value for many organizations. Right now, we're building customCrystal Reports, PDF & Web forms to achieve similar results that a better merge function could alleviate.

    BIG OOPS! Strategy Library Roles Identity field in Opportunity Roles window are missing. Adding this selection to the Column Views would also make this window more relevant. Right now, it's hard to discriminate who is doing what for a particular Opportunity.

  • "Support creating a Quote/Order pre-filled with Opportunity details like Products/Services"
  • "Automatically update Opportunity revenue when Order payment has been received"
  • Both of these choices require a robust rebuild of the Order Desk functionality. This rebuild especially with an integration control panel to other applications (ERP, QB, Accounting) could further utilization of Maximizer CRM in many organizations. CFO's don't want their sales, marketing, service users in their Accounting applications, but would welcome robust integration choices. Open this up so our SQL programmers could build links to/from Maximizer, and it's a new world for utilization across the enterprise!

    When you look at competitive products, many have incorporated these two features long ago. Maximizer is behind the curve on Opportunity/Team/Group management.     I would like to suggest an additional feature related to Hotlist Tasks. I would like to see the ability to assign Hotlists based on group membership. Like a group task. It could be assigned to any of the built in security groups, or to new security groups created by the client. Either way anyone on that group would see the task as their own, but the task would be visually different so they will know it is a group task. Either of the users in the group should have the ability to complete the task which would than complete the task for everyone else in the group.

    Maximizer would be so much better if -

    - Searches could combine fields and notes, eg all records in a given state with no contact recorded in a particular time period, say the last three months, or that have a note with a particular category or containing particular text.

    - the calendar and company/contact records were linked so that appointments showed in the notes listing rather than things like "appointment created" or "appointment completed" - at least let us click those notes to see the detail of the appointment.

    - notes made in the appointment would show as notes on the related company/contact cards

    There are many things that could be done in Max to make it a bit better. In many of our Projects, we need protect or hide information like the Address Book Company name. As we all know everything is tied to the Address Book.

    We work in the Economic Development field and some of the fields do not match the day to day Sales format. Would like the ability to create and place fields on the screens at our pleasure without having to hire a programmer to relabel or place fields. You see some of this used in other CRM products.

    Via the HOTLIST Screen, need a method to see all which hotlist an Opportunity is connected. It a bit confussing  if you have 2 Opportunities open that is tied to the same Company.

     

    The list can go on and on.

    I suggest a Maximizer User Conference at some point where all of this could be discussed, voted on, and implemented in a future release.

    It would be great if Maximizer could integrate quotes and opportunities together if desired.  In this manner when I go through with creating an opportunity, the quote would be partially filled in already.

     

    Also, it would be great if when going through the hotlist that you could flag something to be repeated at a different date ... that way it shows as being completed but can be added in again for future followup.  Even a right click and followup option on a hotlist task would be useful.

    Hi,

    To be more efficient and to be adopt by more sales manager, opportunity module has to be enhanced with:

    - ability to create a form for each type of opportunity. Most of companies sell diffrent type of product with different type of sales stages. So that we could create different form of opportunity with specific UDF, stage. So, any salesman can choose the right opportunity form.

     

    - Implement a usefull Items/product db to choose for opportunity and allows user to imports a list of products.

     

    Hope these  feature will be adopt by all of the guy in this forum and by MSI development team.
